Lucy L. Thomson, JD, CISSP, CIPP/US, focuses on cybersecurity, AI, global data privacy, compliance, and risk management. A career white collar crime prosecutor at the US Justice Department, she subsequently worked as a Senior Engineer at CSC, a global technology company. Appointed Consumer Privacy Ombudsman (CPO) in 38 federal bankruptcy cases, she was the CPO in the Celsius Network cryptocurrency case. She is past co-chair of the ABA AI Task Force, past chair of the ABA Science & Technology Law Section, member of the Cybersecurity Legal Task Force, co-editor of "Artificial Intelligence: Legal Issues and Policy," and contributing author to the ABA Cybersecurity Handbook and books/chapters on emerging technologies. She received a Master’s degree from RPI and a JD degree from Georgetown.
